Psalm 68:20, 24-26, 32-35
Our God is a God of salvation; and to God the LORD belongs escape from death. Psalm 68:20, RSV
Mercy is a supreme attitude of God. His wonderful mercy and compassion wrought salvation for mankind. His ways are past finding, we cannot fathom them. Who is like unto our God-glorious in His ways, wonder-working, magnificent God? His merciful acts deserve our praises.
The awesomeness of God's mercy is described in vivid terms- accomplishing salvation and bringing deliverance from the power of sin and Satan (death). Visualize the praises through the singers going ahead with instruments following. Do you take time to praise God for His mercies upon your life?
Praise the Lord who rides in heaven and send forth His mighty voice (v. 33). He speaks and no one can refute, lifts up and no one can debase, in mercy opens a door and no one can shut. He is forever exalted. In the same majestic manner, Isaiah saw Him (Isaiah 6:1-5). Ascribe power to the Lord God in His majesty. He deserves our reverence and worship.
Pray with this: For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
